camp was awesome (: on the whole, the activities were pretty relaxing and slow-moving, but the dance part was pretty upbeat and fulfilling :D as i guessed before the camp, we were supposed to come up with an item to showcase. really got to know alot more people, including the seniors~

Day 1
reported at 9am in school, met up with wtj at canteen 2 first before registering for camp. We all got separated into sleeping groups. Was allocated into Sleeping Group 1 with Jhong and weiling :D Pretty unusual for there to be more guys than girls, but that was how it was in our group. Farid and David were in our group too, very entertaining. Met Xiang Tian later on in the day, he's the leader.

we headed to the LT with our make-up kits after playing icebreaker games and lunch. Guess one thing that was very different about this camp was the "little lessons" here and there. It wasn't just all activities, running, running, dancing, kinda thing.

after watching live demos, we were split into our CD groups and then given themed music. We were to apply the make up skills to 2 girls and 1 guy. I was in group 4 and we got wrestling music -___-

at the end of the activity, all the "models" were made to go up on stage and present their makeup accordingly with the music. There was Pink Panther, Wrestler, Phantom of the Opera & Barbie.

Dance practice started that evening, using a lot drawing system, our CD group was allocated a hiphop song.

We had movie screening at the LT that night too~ Watched Coach Carter (again).

Having past experiences from attending camps during the DPA period, camps in poly and secondary schools sure are different. In secondary school, lights out meant 10pm. For this camp, we were given a maximum latest of 3am, allowance after activities (which usually ended around midnight) to chiong for your showcase item if we wanted to.

Day 2
Had PT first thing in the morning. Never felt so unfit before. Did 3 sets of warmup exercises, then i could hardly manage one round already ): Played station games after breakfast, the last station was the shizzzz -- DressUp

same rule, presentation of character, costume and make up to the relevant music. Weiling was so cute, kicking and kicking and ending of with the v^-^v pose, shouting "YATTA!"

I made a random comment to Jhong, saying "Chun Li keeps talking to Ninja Turtle", then i realized that Shawnaye is Ninja -.-

Dance Practice, then we all headed to the LT for Bond Night. A very relaxing time spent, more of watching past videos, getting to know seniors and listening to Wilbert sing Hokkien Songs. Felt very much like a very big group in a KTV lor!

CD group 4 decided to chiong dance that night because most of our formations were still not finalized. It was a very fruitful practice and we ended up ending at 2am instead :D

Day 3
Most relaxing day. Woke up to breakfast this time (phew -- by this time, i was aching alot more already D:) self practice afterwhich. Rushed our makeup and lunch at the same time after "marking stage".

at 1.20pm we all started to make our way to the studio.



The showcase was awesome :D I made a bloooper but the rest of it was fine. Weiling's Group won Best Group! Congrats! After the freshies performances, we managed to catch ZiXiang & Farid krump and Yew & Ken solo :D Short debrief, then break camp at 3pm; an hour earlier than mentioned. Of course, camwhoring after everything!!

Met WTJ at Canteen 1 after everything. I had alot of fun, just crapping, camwhoring and doing nothing. It's really the company!!

one of the few camps where you go home "glam", instead of the usual messy dirty hair, fbts, oversized shirts and flipflops. hahaha!

Boyf came down to pick me, went home to freshen up then headed down to Comex. (I don't know how i do it) The crowd was pretty crazy, and I couldn't walk properly for nuts. Was aching all over and undoubtedly really exhausted from camp. Didn't get anything; was contented with my Starbucks. We decided to get candy floss, the size of it was crazy!! We had to stop at a corner to finish it first, the entire thing could cover wern's shirt or smth.

eyeliner overdose from that afternoon. kinda like it, but pretty crazy if i apply that amount every time i go out, no? (actually i think i used to put that much black a few years back, hmmm~)

31st Aug
facial, then lunch at delifrance. I almost lost my phone there D: I left it on the chair beside me while eating because it felt uncomfortable in my pocket when i sat down, and i proceeded to walk away after i finished my meal. Thank goodness i was still within delifrance buying a cookie when i remembered about it and ran back to the table. The family that occupied that table returned it to me, though almost dropping it while doing so -.-

Met boyf at Dhoby Ghaut, and made our way to Vivo. Lunch and Starbucks-ed again before catching Ashley's dance performance at the Cosplay event at the open space above. Gave her the cooookie! :D Walked around in Pet Safari after that (seems like it became a routine must everytime i go to vivo already) and got Ziggy his birthday present.

wern & i also decided to get that bag that we spotted at queenstown about 2 weeks back, but in black. It's supposedly the bag to carry Ziggy in when we bring him out, but we both like it alot :x

talking about bags, wern brought the tote and makeup i mentioned about in the last post for me today! It's really pretty and it's very sweet of him :3 I ended up having 3 bags so we kinda struggled to put everything into one bag before heading to Suntec; Comex again.



Made up my mind (with alot of help) to get the Canon 450D. As much as i expected it, couldn't help but feel disappointed when they told me it was OOS and i have to collect it 2 weeks later D: ah well, but the deal is too good to resist, free 50mm lens! Another thing to strike off my Wishlist, although it did bring about a little unhappiness.

On the way home yesterday i caught sight of the GeTai at Whampoa Market. The crowd was overwhelming! I made a mental note to myself to pop by today if i had the chance. Can't deny that watching 881 did spark some interest in me to see how a real GeTai is like. Didn't have the chance to do so as i was carrying too many things. Nevertheless, I could hear the entire concert from home, and couldn't help but sing/hum along with some of the familiar tunes. Hokkien songs, a-little-overrated-and-made-popular-songs from 881/12Lotus, Mandarin songs translated into dialect (of course plus the techno remix). Ahhhh, maybe next year...
